Behemoth formed as a black metal band in 1991 in Gdańsk, Poland. The group was founded by Nergal who still leads the band to this day. Over time, their sound has taken a more extreme shape, working in elements of death metal and thrash metal. But the whole time, they've had an evil and menacing presentation. Their earliest era culminated in the release of 1994's ...From The Pagan Vastlands which was also released by the aptly named Pagan Records. Since then, they've released consistently released records across some of the biggest labels in metal, scoring some #1 records in their home country more recently in the process. But of course, it all started with those early, primitive, pagan days. This original Behemoth shirt from 1994 is nicely worn with some cracking on the print.
