Gwar are a metal band from Richmond, VA founded in 1984. The band is known just as much for their shows as they are for their music. They dress up in elaborate costumes and use special effects to create an experience unlike anything else. Their sci-fi story is told through their records, which they have over a dozen of, and they build it into their aesthetic and, of course, their live performances. Despite numerous member changes, they have not stopped since their founding. This original Gwar poster, in excellent condition, is from the band's show at La Luna in Portland, OR with punk legends The Dickies and sludge metalers Buzzoven.
