Mali is a country in Africa. Located in the western part of the continent, Mali is one of the largest countries in the world by total area and has a population of about 20 million. While its history is rich, extending well into prehistoric times, the country was controlled and colonized by the French from the 19th century until 1959 when they joined with Senegal to gain independence under the new name Mali Federation, which quickly became the Republic Of Mali. Mali is home to Timbuktu, many amazing musicians, and much more. This vintage poster, in great condition with some surface wear, was made by the Malian tourism commission.
