The University of Michigan was founded in Detroit in 1817. The school moved to its current home of Ann Arbor in 1837. Things have changed a lot since then for U of M, they went from being small in size and student body to being a massive public university that is regularly regarded as one of the best in the country. In addition to their exceptional academics, the school also boasts several extremely successful Wolverines sports. They have the winningest football team in college history, they won the men's basketball national championship, and a great ice hockey team.
