Yo La Tengo are an indie rock band from Hoboken, NJ. The band formed in 1984 inspired by bands like Mission Of Burma and Love and quickly began making records. The lineup fluctuated slightly in the early years but once bassist James McNew joined guitarist Ira Kaplan and drummer Georgia Hubley in 1992 they have remained a consistent unit, regularly releasing records to critical acclaim and consistently touring. Now, nearly four decades into their career, the band has released over a dozen albums on various labels. Their first ever release, though, was a 7" entitled The River Of Water which was released in 1985 on EGON Records. Yo La Tengo worked with EGON again for several other releases, including several more EPs and a few collections of EPs. This original and early Yo La Tengo shirt is in good condition with fading and a few holes.
